Tony Wasserman is a Keynote speaker at the conference:

Tony Wasserman is Director of the Software Management MS program at Carnegie Mellon West, and the Executive Director of its Center for Open Source Investigation (COSI), which focuses on the evaluation and adoption of open source software, as well as its use in mobile devices.  In 2000, Tony became VP of Bluestone Software    (acquired by HP in 2001), responsible for its West Coast Labs, where he led the creation of the award-winning open source Total-e-Mobile toolkit, which allowed mobile devices to connect to web applications. During the dot-com boom, he was VP of Engineering for a startup in San Francisco.

 

Tony is a frequent speaker at both research-oriented and commercial conferences, and has consulted extensively for both startups and established companies.

Dr. Wasserman has a Ph.D. in computer sciences from the University of Wisconsin - Madison     and a B.A. in mathematics and physics from UC Berkeley, and has been selected as a Fellow of both the Association for Computing Machinery and the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers.  He was the recipient of the first Stevens Award for his contributions to software development methods.
